What do you think are best practices for combating antisemitism within a framework of collective liberation?
Together for an Inclusive Massachusetts (TIM) invites you to participate in The People’s Testimony! Send TIM your experiences with antisemitism and its weaponization. We will publicly share your thoughtful, nuanced, and respectful recommendations on our website and in reports so your views can be discussed and considered by Massachusetts residents and the Massachusetts’ legislature.
- Send your testimony to TIM so we can make it public
- Send your testimony to the MA Special Commission on Combatting Antisemitism
- Send your testimony to your state senator and representative
Why is this important?
The Massachusetts Special Commission on Combatting Antisemitism (“the Commission”) is tasked with making recommendations on policy to prevent and respond to antisemitism in Massachusetts by November, 2025. Unfortunately, the Commission has repeatedly failed to include or has dismissed diverse points of view. They have also failed to be transparent in their processes, offering no certainty that written submissions to the Commission are being fairly evaluated, or will appropriately inform their final recommendations.
It is due to this lack of diversity and transparency that TIM is encouraging people to participate in The People’s Testimony. This project seeks to engage the public in thoughtful, nuanced and constructive conversations about antisemitism using a framework of collective liberation—in order to ensure that multiple perspectives inform the Massachusetts legislature and the public, alongside the Commission’s recommendations.
How will The People's Testimony work?
The People’s Testimony platform will be open for written submissions from the public. All submissions will be assessed by Together for An Inclusive Massachusetts, which will then provide a report that we hope legislators, the media, and the public will take into consideration alongside the final report released by the official Commission.
Submissions will also be shared on this website (at the discretion of TIM). If you DO NOT want your testimony to be public or prefer to remain anonymous, please indicate so in the form below.
It is important that legislators in the Commonwealth understand that there is a wide range of perspectives on how to best combat antisemitism within the Jewish community, and that the Commission has been consistently dismissive of viewpoints that differ from many of the appointed Commissioners.
We welcome you to submit testimony that reflects your lived experiences. We also welcome opinions shaped by professional expertise in these areas. Please help us ensure that the Massachusetts’ legislature hears a diversity of voices on this important issue!
